The Zine What I Wrote For

Some of you may remember me mentioning a while back that I was working on a TPM story for a zine (some others may remember this more as "whining incessantly," but are too kind to say so).

I'm delighted to say that the zine is now in print -- and my God, it is a gorgeous thing. This fandom has produced some of the most physically beautiful zines in existence, but I honestly think this one tops them all.

I'm honored to be in it with [livejournal.com profile] mrshamill, [livejournal.com profile] temve, [livejournal.com profile] elayna88, [livejournal.com profile] lauramcewan, and several other great TPM writers. The quality of the illustration is just amazing as well -- my story has an exquisite piece of art by [livejournal.com profile] nimori and there are illos by most of the best artists active in TPM, past and present.

It's called Songs of Innocence, Songs of Experience, by the killer editing team of [livejournal.com profile] gloriana and [livejournal.com profile] the_emu, and you can find pictures, excerpts, and ordering info here. It's pricey, but worth it (which I feel comfortable tellng you even though mine was free).

It is gorgeous. I sniff the suede every once in a while. :D

BTW, I neglected to thank you for the House DVDs! That was super-sweet of you. :D

HOla!

How exciting. I'm off to order my copy now. I was too late off the jump to get a copy of Living Force I way back when. I've vowed to never, ever let that happen again!

Thanks so much for the links to the ordering info.

Looks gorgeous.

Alas, I must keep my money for London. Wooooooooooh! London!

Do you know when you'll be in London yourself?

Yeah, that's why I'm glad mine was free. *g*

I'll be in London... er, on the 10th? *g* How long before and after that depends entirely on time off from work and the airline/hotel prices, which are yet to be determined. Sigh.

No problem! I'm thrilled to be able to promote it. And I missed out on the first Living Force zine, too, much to my continuing regret.

I do that, too. *g*

And you're welcome! I hope you enjoy the show as much as I do. :-)

It's a really, really pretty thing. I will never be content with comb binding and a plastic cover again.

You don't say! What a coincidence, I'm going to be on the 10th in London, too! ;)

I'm "lucky" enough that in September, I'll be in the writing part of my master (no classes). As for the hotel, I'm thinking of going to stay in one of those university students residencies (is that the word?). It's cheaper than all the rest. And they're available until the 15th of September.

*bounces* London!
