This is entirely the fault of margueritem. Entirely. Okay, and a lot Sean Bean's fault, too, for being so darn sexy. Just a wee little very rough snippet of 006/007 that will later be part of a larger story.



He fell back onto the bed, panting as he propped himself on his elbows. "James, wait, I haven't—" he started, then bit off the rest of the sentence. One didn't allow James Bond an edge, in the field or in the bedroom, unless one was prepared for the consequences.

Too late, though. James' eyes held a gleam that boded no good for Alec. One hand slid up his thigh, and Alec hissed. Or perhaps a great deal of good.

"What, Alec? Not ever?"

The teasing in James' voice was softer than he had ever heard it, and Alec grinned back. He could relax. This was his friend, his closest compatriot since their boyhood. James had already taught him everything he knew. What was one more thing? "Let's just say, never with anyone like you, James."

"Ah. It's not so different." James was giving him his most rakish grin, pressing him back onto the bed. "Just close your eyes and think of England, Alec. I'll take care of the rest."

Alec laughed. "For England, then." He let his head fall back as James' mouth found his neck. His laughter turned to a groan, and he gave himself up to James' expertise.

But James was wrong about one thing. It was very different. And he did not think even once of England.
