netflix delivered 2012 yesterday and as soon as so you think you can dance was over i watched it. really quite enjoyed it. read this in pieces over today. loved it. to death. better than the movie. i absolutely adore how you didn't try to fuse arthur and merlin with the cusack story, just told their story alongside. brilliant. really. all the right bits included to make us know we were in the same 'verse, but a whole different piece of it. i was entertained by the movie, but more in a oooh! cool effects! than in a oh noes, am worried about the russians and cusack! kind of way. your version made me cry. i cared far more that uther had stayed behind than i did about danny glover (well i actually cared more about the italian pm than danny, but that's beside the point).
i adored how you replicated some of the same disaster issues that the movie had (like the cracking runway and pilots being killed and vehicles in crevasses, but you made them slightly different and fitting with this piece of the story.
also MSF!!!! and arthur bringing lost planes of people!!!
am totally gushing but am really, really ♥ you right now.
