Yes, Uther must have held a hell of a yard sale to come up with that much money! Especially when I looked up how much the real royal family is supposed to be worth. I have a feeling at some point Arthur will open up whatever crate the Crown Jewels were shipped in and find that they've all been replaced with plastic tiaras.

Gotta say, this comment was the perfect cherry on top of this deliciously epic fic sundae. I think I may have strained something laughing at the mental image of Arthur's reaction (naturally, he would boggle a bit, then put one of the tiaras on Merlin and crown him official Royal Consort, much to Merlin's chagrin and Gwen's delight).
