Yeah, same here - I really do have other stuff I should be writing, but somehow I don't think I'm going to be escaping this one for long (okay, I have a tiny gen thing done already that I should post somewhere, but let's not talk about that)!
But, you know, X-Men was my first real internet fandom, albeit in a lurky way - we're talking alt.fan.xmen here! And I joined eGroups (later OneList, later YahooGroups - my account just kept getting reassigned) specifically to join the Magneto list. The fannish karma fairies are just finally catching up with me or something.
(what, me have a bit of a thing for pragmatic sometime-antagonists who might just have a bit of a point? C'mon, it's not like I have previous! Actually, I blame that entire thing on Erik anyway, so it's just coming full circle....)
