Well, okay, then!

In my *mumblety* years in slash fandom, I've encountered very, very few online services that didn't just tolerate us, but actively welcomed, understood, and appreciated our community.

Hello, Pinboard: The Fans Are All Right.

I was going to hold off on moving all my bookmarks until I saw whether Delicious was going to get itself together, but screw that. I'm moving to Pinboard.

ETA: When I first posted this, I had forgotten that Pinboard charges a one-time set-up fee, which is just under $10. Obviously not everybody can justify that in their budgets these days. However, fandom being fandom, there's already a lively swapmeet going over on the fannish Pinboard comm where many people are offering to gift Pinboard accounts to fellow fans, either gratis or in exchange for small fannish services.

Dammit, you have to pay. Can't do that. In college, can't even pay for a paid account on LJ much less one on Pinboard. *shakes fist in air*

Aw, sorry, I forgot when I posted this that they require a set-up fee. But if you go here, you'll find a bunch of people offering to help people out with the charge, either for free or in exchange for some small fannish service -- http://pinboard.livejournal.com/518.html.

Yeah, but I'd feel bad taking someone else's money when I do have the money, I just can't use it because my mother can't leave my business to me and stop checking my spending (of the money I worked for). Maybe in a few years when I get my own checking acount independent of my mother and her control issues... -_-' Sometimes I can't wait to graduate.
