Oh, I completely agree with you! I just think the actual words "old friend" sound awkward coming out of the mouth of someone who looks like Bradley James. *g* But like I said, I love the sentiment behind it and that he's acknowledging Merlin's place in his life so explicitly (and so often!) now.

And actually, in show years, it's more like 5-6 years of friendship at this point. *hearts*
