Happy making

Saw Zack and Miri Make a Porno today. Really fun, highly recommended. Make sure you stay for the credits.

Been watching Merlin and Crusoe this weekend. Boy, you wait years for a show that combines cheesy period action fun with men who are undyingly devoted soulmates to each other, and then two come along at once.

I can't believe the election is in two days. Finally. It's not just me, this has been the longest campaign season ever, right? *jitter*

In the meantime, almost Amazing Race time!

It's not just you. I literally can't remember a newscycle that didn't include election stuff. With both Obama from Chicago and Hillary who was raised in the north suburbs, we got slammed with primary stuff from the very, very, every early days. And I don't see it lightening up, all said until after Inauguration.

At which point I will celebrate. A lot.

Yeah, you guys really haven't gotten a break over there in years! It's bad here in the DC area, too, but I think we're used to just tuning out the constant hum of the politics.

Merlin and Arthur as "devoted soulmates"? Really? I keep watching and....well....ya know, I say this as a die-hard Xena and Hercules fan and....the badness is just too bad for me to enjoy the badness, ya know?

And seriously, Uther? I mean he seriously needs to loosen up about the knee-jerk reaction to the hint of magic. It is clearly giving his reign a HUGE weak spot that the bad guys are exploiting.

Yes. I am still watching. Why do you ask?

LOL! Yes, someone obviously stuck a magic wand up Uther's butt at some point and he's been suffering from it ever since. That being said, watching Tony Head dig his teeth into that scenery is more than worth it.

The badness doesn't bother me a bit. In fact, I think I'm happy that it's that kind of bad -- I haven't had a show that was campy fun in a long time (Supernatural takes itself a little too seriously to count).
