Long day is long

Argh. My netbook has been freezing several times a night lately. After googling possible solutions, I ran CCleaner to clean out my cache, registry, and anything else that needed cleaning.

Which seems to have included every single tab I had open in Firefox and Chrome. That's weeks of fic I had open to read. I could weep.

Other things making me weep tonight:

The fact that this is a deleted scene, and not even included as a deleted scene but only as the tiniest glimpse among other clips, really just sums up my enormous frustration with the Merlin showrunners. But it's there and I'm considering it canon now, which eases my frustrated inner shipper considerably.

[personal profile] kerryblaze posted the original video clip here.

Other things of more cheer:

* Google's logo is really, really awesome right now in honor of Jules Verne's birthday. You can play with it! Go look!

* I tried my first Chagrin Valley shampoo bar last night (the unscented Extra Honey & Beer bar) and today my hair was awesome. Soft, thick, and tangle-free, I'm happy to report. A little drab by the end of the day, but that's normal for my hair. I will report back after using it a while longer.

* I've never seen my name in a love meme before. I kinda needed that today, so thanks, guys.

Thanks for the heads up on the google doodle! Excellent!

Isn't that nifty? I spotted it by accident and then spent ten minutes making the sub go up and down. *g*

I'm so sad that scene got cut. :( But like you said, it's definitely my head canon now.

Absolutely head canon! It's still utterly gorgeous, even if we'll never get to see its full effect with the music and full context.

It does make me sad, though. I mean, obviously they weren't putting in everything I wanted to see with the Merlin/Arthur relationship, but it makes me extra annoyed that they went that extra mile to chop it out, too.

I think they thought that we'd know Arthur wanted Merlin there because we saw him actually sitting there, so they decided to skip the important bit i.e., Arthur inviting him to take his rightful place. Sad shortcut, sad, sad editing.

Yes, I'm sure that's exactly what they thought. It's normal for Merlin to be places he shouldn't be, because Arthur tolerates it. But it should have been such a big mythological and relationship moment. Guess they couldn't see the difference. *sigh*

Google FTW! Thanks for pointing that out. I would've missed it.

TPTB failed hard by cutting that scene.

I saw it by accident! Normally I never have to go to Google's homepage anymore, but when all my tabs got killed, that's where Chrome brought me. It almost made me feel better about losing the tabs. *g*

They did fail big time. It was exactly the kind of moment I was pining for all season. *grump*

LONG DAY SUCKS.

Huh, I didn't even notice the google logo- I tend not to use the google site when I'm on Chrome, which is always. Neato! Though nothing will ever beat Google Pacman, IMO.

Oh noes lost fic =( You should do what I am doing, which is re-watching Randy/John eyesex from last night!

[identity profile] corilannam.livejournal.com 2011-02-09 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
But on the bright side, we won't lose whole days of our lives to this logo! I wouldn't have noticed it, either, except that Chrome took me to Google when all my tabs bit it. Otherwise, I just search from the address bar, or the Google toolbar in Firefox.

Mmmm, nobody does eyesex like Randy and John. I need to find all the clips of that and save them somewhere.

That is such a poignant scene that would have spoke volumes FOR ARTHUR BEING KING. Hympf.

I know, right? It definitely would have helped set up his out-of-the-blue speech on equality.
