So, we're having a hurricane.
Woke up this morning to the nice people on NPR calmly noting that Hurricane Isabel is supposed to hit the East Coast "somewhere between North Carolina and New Jersey."
*looks down at North Carolina*
*looks up at New Jersey*
Hm.
This could be a problem. I'm from Arizona. We don't do hurricanes. And one of the reasons I moved to the mid-Atlantic was because of its lack of any severe weather habits. I think we've still got a flashlight somewhere from the last blackout, though, so we should be all set.

chelseafrew,ndannais, meeby, deannie, noelql and I can hit New York as planned to see rosemitchell and then HUGH JACKMAN ON BROADWAY. Which will happen, hurricane or no hurricane, because these tickets are damned expensive and nonrefundable, and because it's HUGH JACKMAN ON BROADWAY. SINGING AND DANCING. That has to qualify as a force of nature all on its own.
Plus,noelql has promised me that she's going to take care of Isabel for us, and I have faith in her ability to make even a hurricane back down when there's Hugh Jackman at stake. *g*
