Apr. 11th, 2002 03:11 pmSo this was my morning:
Montgomery Co. Commuters Stranded After Gas Mix-Up
I actually didn't believe it at first when one of my neighbors drove by and told me. But the bus never did come, so finally I walked down to Lakeforest to try my luck there, where a nice lady from FOX5 News asked me about how long I had been waiting for a bus, how late to work I was, and what I would like Ride On to do about it. My answer to the latter question was too long and obscene for television, involving as it did certain county executives with large pieces of machinery jammed into sensitive and intimate orifices. But for those of you in the DC area, if you watch the FOX local news tonight and see a disturbed-looking woman in a grey sweater with fly-away hair whining about the bus system, that'll be me.
In more perky pastures, I finally posted my TPM story (Demi-Gods and Hungry Ghosts) from Living Force II to m_a, since it's timed out of the zine. Now I begin the nervous feedback vigil. Is there a patron saint of fan writers and feedback? If so, I want a medal.
Finally, devolving into pure fluff, I stole this from
greensage:

Yes, I rigged it. I didn't want to risk it telling me about hobbits.

Re: Demi Gods and Hungry Ghosts
it's me
the lurking lurker who lurks
not one for dissecting plots, characterization, dialog, etc.
just liked your story very much
- a unique plot! (to me anyway) - Anakin recruiting Qui-Gon for the Palpatine Fan Club
best lines:
"They're all dead now, all the ones that came with us to Palpatine."
"I know. Did you think that was a coincidence?"
so much angst and bitterness in two lines
lovely, lovely writing
worst line:
The End
thanks for sharing your story

The End
Great Story...everyone seemed real..nice descriptions...
...hope it's really not the end...
Re: Demi Gods and Hungry Ghosts
Oh, what nice comments -- and my first feedback here! I appreciate it.
"They're all dead now, all the ones that came with us to Palpatine."
"I know. Did you think that was a coincidence?"
Hee... those were two of my favorite lines, too. Poor Obi-Wan. He still has some bitterness to get out of his system, bless his heart.
thanks for sharing your story
And thanks for the feedback!
Re: Demi Gods and Hungry Ghosts
