Though I still didn't get any work done. It takes a certain level of mental energy to concentrate on writing or editing when there's any sort of distraction around, and I just wasn't up to the challenge. (This is nothing new.) So I just kept reading the new chapter of the HP WIP I've been following, which I printed out before we left, since I couldn't possibly go the whole weekend before I read it. And I read it. Over and over and over again.

The funness came there and from some friends that I didn't think were going to be able to make it, but came after all, which made it worth the trip. One of them had some of her recent work on her Handspring Visor, so I carried that around for a while, reading, with two results: got entered into a trivia contest without realizing it, and decided I absolutely must have a PDA. I'm in love.

Also in love with: new Ep. II trailer (the second one). Sulky!Ani and SnarkyPutUpon!Obi. Can I slash 'em now? Huh huh? Can I? And I got to watch the Buffy musical in a big room of other fans of good taste. There was much thudding over Spike, and a round of spontaneous applause after Tara and Giles' duet, which is my very favorite bit in the entire episode. Joss Whedon is simply the most brilliant writer in television.

Saturday morning, we drove down to Liberty State Park. Not too much I want to say about that. I ended up spending most of the time looking at the Statue of Liberty and remembering where I was the only other time I ever saw it.
