Oct. 31st, 2002 03:03 pmFirst off, anyone going to be in London on November 16th? Anyone want to see Sean Bean play MacBeth from the front row? My friend who was going to go with me until we encountered the great airfare blockade has her ticket up on ebay for half the face price. Nab it at http://cgi.aol.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1393733329 C'mon, I need company!

I still haven't seen last night's West Wing, although I've heard from multiple sources, both fannish and non, that it was fabulicious.
Just now, I heard my boss asking our federal project officer if he watched it, and they went on for some time about how that was the kind of president we need right now, and do you think that episode will inspire more people to vote Democrat at the polls next week? If we're having those kinds of conversations again, Aaron Sorkin must have his touch back.
And speaking of that, a big happy birthday to
therealjae!!! Hope your celebration is continuing like it started. :-)

The reason I didn't watch West Wing on time last night? Well, actually, it's because I was napping in front of The Amazing Race (all
meeby's fault, btw). But I'm choosing to blame it on downloading both fansubs of Ai No Kusabi and watching them over dinner. That giant sucking sound you hear? Me getting sucked into it. That piercing shriek? That was me again, after watching the end.
So of course they both died. They always die. I have only had one slash pairing in which death was not involved in some fashion, unless you count Sorkin's destruction of Dan and Casey's characters immediately before ABC's gruesome murder of Sports Night.
But you know? You'd think I'd be used to it, but it still catches me by surprise, every single time. I'm sitting there at my computer, yelling at Rikki to go back for Iason, you numbskull! You know you love him! Go save him and tell him you love him! The mutilation issues can be worked out later!
And what does he do? He goes back, at least, but what do you think he does when he gets there?
HE SITS DOWN NEXT TO IASON AND THEY HAVE A LAST CIGARETTE AND SNUGGLE WHILE THEY WAIT TO GET BLOWN TO SMITHEREENS!!!!
Geezus. Their stupidity and melodramatic deathwish complexes offend me.
Anyway. So I didn't watch my tape of West Wing because I was hunting for ANK fanfic. Of which there is far too little. But at least now I've found where Kim Gasper disappeared to a while back. Bless her.

Wrote a whole page at work today. Also completed a Trading Spaces episode guide for my handspring. Fretted some more about my passport. Avoided the filing cabinets.

Love you, Grandma Gertie. Wish you were still around.
