Work anxiety, much?
Aug. 20th, 2002 08:44 amSo last night I dreamt that I was getting ready for work in almost total darkness. I could barely see anything, and I was trying to put on my makeup with a piece of cardboard. Finally I gave up because I was about to miss the bus. I ran really hard and caught the bus, only to realize as it pulled away that I was completely naked. So I had to get off the bus at the next stop, go home and put my clothes on. Unfortunately, my alarm went off before I could see what I was going to wear.
On the plus side, I had a way, way better body in my dream than I do in real life, so being naked wasn't so bad.
On the Real Life plus side, there were a few good things about coming to work this morning. First, I got a compliment from the coworker who used to be Mega-Bitch Woman to me. Second, my boss came in and asked me if I still had my headphones with me. When I said yes, she handed me a Pink CD. Apparently she was dancing in the car to it all the way to work, so she wanted to share and brighten up my work day. I love my boss. :-)
And some words of wisdom posted on the mailbox of a guy down the hall: "Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes."
