This is a meme I like, because it doesn't take up much space.

I am happy today for a few reasons:

1) I saw Troy again last night, and lo, it sucked even less than it did the first time. I even cried a little. I sense writing in my future.

2) My new cell phone got here this morning, arriving at my desk less than 24 hours after I placed my order. Woo! I am reachable at all times once again, for the first time since my stupid T-Mobile phone began dying in December.

3) I am having a Sirius/Remus fic renaissance. And lo! Good fic has actually been written since the last time I dared to look. A fair bit of it, too. Happy.

4) I got two sentences written in my ficathon story last night! Yes, an entire dialogue exchange. It was fabulous. Tonight, maybe I'll write three sentences.

LOL!!! In that spirit, I would like to share what I've written so far on my story. Are you ready? *g*

"Jack?"

"Hmmm?"

"I have a question."

"No, you don't. There are no questions today."

That's it. *snicker*

Have any good Sirius/Remus links? I tend not to read too many unrecced stories in that pairing, because there's so much dreck.

*wild applause* Bravo! Simply brilliant! A masterpiece in the making!

But the really funny part? You know what the first three lines of my story are? Shall I share?

"Daniel?"

"Hmmm?"

"I have a plan."

Great minds think alike? Desperation draws from a common pool of inspiration??

Just don't give up before I get to find out what Daniel's question is. *g*

Yeah, I know what you mean. I only read by recommendation myself, since bad SB/RL fic drove me right out of the fandom before.

Here are some of the ones I read today that I didn't think were too bad:

Door to the River -- Minx

Promised Eternity -- setissma

Alive -- copperbadge (it's a songfic, but if you ignore the song, there's still a pretty good fic under there)

House -- Kest

For some reason it doesn't work in all browsers. I can seen the purple in IE, but not in Mozilla. No idea why -- but then again, I have no idea how it works in the first place. But I'm purple!

Oh, that reminds me (through a convoluted thought process that it's better not to delve into too deeply) -- did I tell you that I finally got to see Good Bye Lenin! last week?

You did NOT tell me that! Where was it showing? And did you like it?

It was showing down at the Bethesda Landmark -- has been for a while, but this was the first chance I got to get down there and see it. I absolutely loved it. Fabulous, fabulous movie. I'm glad you pimped it so energetically. :-)

Yay! I'm so glad.

It's actually showing in a big mainstream theatre here! I was so surprised.
