I'm back from Eclecticon, which was a lot of fun.  Not so much in the actual convention participation way, but more in the hanging out with good friends and buying zines that I should know better than to buy kind of way.  I've found myself becoming more and more aggressively anti-social when it comes to things like panels, which more often than not these days consist of a number of somewhat dim people who really like to hear themselves talk.

But there was good Stargate talk, and [livejournal.com profile] epeeblade's descriptions of the latest in gay porn films, and [livejournal.com profile] deannie and [livejournal.com profile] noelql killing bunnies with me and [livejournal.com profile] chelseafrew, and [livejournal.com profile] rosemitchell and her darling baby, who isn't a baby at all anymore, but rather is perfectly capable of flagging down a waiter all by herself in the hotel restaurant and requesting a new fork because hers took an unfortunate plunge from the high chair.

Anyway, overall it was exactly what I needed after all the stress from last week.  Too bad real life was waiting for me this morning.  But on the bright side, I have one last Honeycrisp apple for lunch.  And I get to see The Incredibles tonight, which I hear is exactly the kind of funny I'm in the mood for -- and with any luck, the Ep. III trailer on the big screen.  O, Lucas, why do you still make my heart pound with excitement over amazing trailers like this, when I know you're just going to leave me bitter and brokenhearted in May?  It's not like I haven't done this before, but still -- eeeeeee!

I thought Incredibles was fantastic. Lotsa fun, and more story/emotion than your average animated film, imo.

Somehow, when we weren't looking, he made us his bitch. Stupid Lucas. ::sigh:: Or should that be 'stupid us'? *G*

oh, enjoy the incredibles. it's very incredible indeed. lovely animation (pixar really shows dreamworks how it's done i think, even though dreamworks is good too). visually it's fun, and elegant, and stunning. no one does water and hair like pixar. not that i'm opinionated or anything like that. heh.

sounds like a fun time at the con. i'm hoping that the episode 3 is better than 1 and 2. i *so* want him to get his sense of humor back, and not take himself so seriously.

ps. the short prior to the incredibles is also fun, and beautifully animated. *g*

It was a great movie! I laughed really hard, and afterward we were quoting all the good lines.

I think I was buying action figures at the time.

It was a great movie, and gorgeous animation. I loved the short, too, as always. I think that's the part of going to a Pixar movie I look forward to the most every year. We laughed really hard at the lamb stepdancing. *g*

tee hee! the lamb was hilarious. pixar really does it right. and my mother has sheep so the part about shearing cracked me up. she should be so lucky that they would hold out a foot for her shearer. *g*
