*deep breaths*
Aug. 7th, 2002 08:29 amDespite the not sleeping and constant nausea (connected in a glorious vicious circle, of course) worrying about my mom, I've decided it's going to be a good day.
Good Thing the First -- after a week of harrassing every bookstore in the Metro DC area, as well as pre-ordering it twice online, I finally found Restoration last night. I made it through the first few chapters on the bus this morning, and while it's not going to end in quite the place I would like, I've decided I can work with it. The rest of the book will be read in fits of sneaky obsession under my desk throughout the workday.
Good Thing the Second -- the LOTR DVD is bee-yoo-tee-full. I've had the bootleg DVD since January, so it's not like I've ever felt any sense of loss from not having the movie around, but it's just so lovely. Most special edition DVDs don't even have this much stuff on them -- hard to believe we're going to get something even better in November. Other notes (shallow only, today): Sean Bean still unbelievably gorgeous. Hobbit boys still unbelievably adorable. Viggo gets prettier every time (in a rugged, manly way, of course). Elf Boy cute, but still overrated. *g*
Good Thing the Third -- I actually managed to write a few paragraphs on my TPM story last night while watching the movie. That hasn't happened in a couple of weeks. Not much, but something.
All these Good Things actually were yesterday, of course, but I'm hoping that they indicate an upward trend going into today. Wednesday is traditionally my sucky day of the week, but really, I think Monday should have taken care of the Wednesday karma this time around. Maybe I'll even be up to deeper thoughts later... nah.
