My karmic payback for joking about calling in fake-sick yesterday, so as to wrest my federal holiday back from an uncaring corporate schedule, was to have to actually call in real-sick with a nasty bug that hit me late Sunday night. On the bright side, I've discovered the true joy of TiVo -- when all you want to do is huddle under your comforter and move as little as possible, you can watch loads of different things you have taped for hours and hours without moving more than your thumb.
But it's a new day and I'm back at work despite the ooginess, and a few things are making me happy --
-- TWOP is going to be recapping Battlestar Galactica! I adored their recap of the miniseries, so I was really hoping they'd do the series, too. I still think of Tigh as Colonel McCain, to the point where sometimes it takes me a minute to remember his actual name.
-- the Stargate squeeing all over my flist after last night's special. I still haven't seen it, because I forgot to record it and I was watching BSG at the time, but it's so nice to see people excited again. Even if I will probably never get the McShep thing, to my sorrow.
-- BSG 1.12. It's like fanficcy crack, and it's on my screen.
-- I finished Black Sun Rising, and am continuing on with the second book. This is also some fanficcy crack. I do so love mortal enemies who can't keep their hands off each other.
Now, back to work! Ha ha, no, just kidding. Back to staring at Jamie Bamber's glorious arms.
