Oh wow I loved this story. I am a huge fan of the apocalyptic genre of films and to be honest I really wanted to love the movie 2012, but I just couldn't. For some reason it simply didn't click with me. The premise at first glance seemed to hold everything I love about this genre and yet the finished movie still fell flat. In your version I found the connection I was missing with the film. For me this had everything that I wanted to find (but couldn't) in the movie. I especially loved the "flashbacks" as they fleshed out the relationship between Arthur and Merlin quite nicely. Excellent Job!
