Now, years later - still, better late than never - I get to read your fic.

Which, really, is lovely - so, so, so much better than the original source, since I found 2012 cheap, with characters that had no real depth and a storyline that wasn't nearly as well developed as their special effects.

Now, I have no such complain about your story, for it has a pace and a sense of... It's hard to say exactly what, but it does come to a full circle and it is very good indeed.

One thing that I should point out is that I actually cried with Uther's death - I'm pretty sure it was the one and only time that I have seen him being the king he should and could have been if he had been less bigoted; the deep sense that he and the kingdom were one; those generally lead to a good leadership, but Uther's personal pain stopped him short from being the leader he was meant to be. This was the first time I felt that he had truly became what he was always meant to be, a true king, not only a figure head with an over-inflated ego.

And Morgana - well, I was expecting that. She would go out with a bang, wouldn't she? Doing what was right and damn the consequences, I'm sure she would have found her life a small price to pay for the world to know the truth; it was a pity that it ended up being for nothing.

Merlin was just plain stupid - then again, that's Merlin for you. The flashbacks were lovely, and made us really believe in their relationship, feel it, understand it.

Arthur was everything that he came to be, the once and future king indeed, raising to the challenges and making all of us proud. The whole end was like a Modern The Herald of a New Age; and I have seen very few Arthur's that are so deeply true to his core.

All in all, I should thank you deeply for having decided to write it, to allow us to enjoy this story and for everything else. Really, thank you. It was magnificent.
