This is an entertaining start and I'm enjoying Arthur and Merlin's friendship. The magical tournament is an excellent set up, rife with possibilities. Merlin bumping into Niniane was just the first in what I hope will be loads of encounters with others of his kind. Her come on was quite bold and even though I'm delighted that Arthur crashed the party, I can understand Merlin's disappointment in not getting a leg over.
Arthur deciding that the magic tournament sounds like a great vacation destination for the crown prince of Camelot makes me wonder just how many times the guy has been hit in the head. He's obviously suffering some sort of brain damage. It's great.
