I'm in the same boat as you. Not as many squee moments, but the actual episode was really, really enjoyable for me.
Some great acting too, especially in the scene where Arthur says to Merlin he doesn't want to lose another friend.
When we were first introduced to the Catha, I was laughing at the random Indian market that Morgana went too. And his half naked guard! I came up with a mini backstory for that guard. lol.
I loved when the Catha knelt to Merlin. Poor Morgana is making a lot of enemies.
