LOL! I guess it's not the Arthur angst itself that I'm tired of, because really, I never get tired of that, but there's something about the way it manifested in this episode that just didn't quite click for me. I wish I could put my finger on it. I like your metaphor, though -- and it makes sense that if Arthur's own family want to take him out, and this common guy hates him, he would feel like everything he had done was a failure. Maybe I need to watch it again!
