This fic has been an amazing journey through the lives of people that the common folk would never know. Your beautiful bisexual Merlin is pitch perfect in his emotions and behaviour. I have no doubt that a lifetime of Will's influence was what made him put the umbrella up on ebay! (I'm sure Hunith would not approve!) And his cheeky behaviour afterwards with Arthur and their banter about how much the umbrella might fetch. Simply adorable!
And your Arthur, so regal, but so human. When he was in tears in Australia... I know I shed a few with him as he needed to be with the one he loved the most. He's so perfectly flawed, but gracious and brilliant, as any monarch could be. My King, indeed!
And, oh, your cast of supporting characters are terrific! From your wonderful Gwaine to noble (and engaged-hah!) Lance, from Hunith, the perfect Mum, to a Morgana who suffered her own version of pain in this story, but who was humanized into a multi-dimensional princess who deserved the reader's empathy in the end.
This story is just the best thing ever! And you gave me a shout out! LOL! I have so enjoyed our little word count races and you have certainly helped to keep me on track as well!
Thanks for writing this wonderful story that I'm sure I will revisit again and again!
