Life's really not *that* bad today
May. 21st, 2004 02:55 pmToday is just one of those days when I should be all grumpy and upset, but I'm not.
My ficathon story still isn't done (though I managed whole paragraphs yesterday! Go me!) My TPM story still isn't done (though I managed whole paragraphs of that during lunch!) AOL won't let me IM anybody for more than a minute or two at a time without restarting my computer. There is now no Joss Whedon of any kind on TV and won't be for the foreseeable future. I just spent 4 hours sticking labels on envelopes for something that's not even my project, to help out someone who's having a much worse day than I am. And this morning I was on the bus on my way to work before I realized that my shirt was on inside out.
And yet, I'm happy. 'Cause it's Friday. People are writing NCIS fic. Joan of Arcadia and possibly sushi tonight. I can sleep tomorrow. I might get to see Troy again this weekend. There's an outside chance I'll finish a story. And my new cell phone can either ring with "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" or William Shatner telling me to pick up the phone.
So, not so bad to close out a pretty dull week.
