Happy Solstice! Growing up, this was the holiday we celebrated instead of Christmas or Hanukkah, and it's still the day with the most personal meaning to me.
Today was a good solstice, as not only is the sun starting to come back, but I finally stopped feeling like death warmed over from this weird bug I brought home from NY last week. I celebrated by wrapping presents, inaugurating my new Merlin notebook, and then having a fun afternoon/evening exchanging gifts with friends. And watching Merlin, of course.
I'm now going to celebrate some more by cleaning my germ-ridden disaster of an apartment and maybe watching some more Merlin. Or maybe some Crusoe. Something really gay, anyway.
And happy birthday to the extraordinary
darththalia! I hope the snow and ice and cold didn't hamper your birthday fun!
