A good weekend...
Mar. 22nd, 2004 10:17 amA good weekend, except for the part where it ended and was Monday again.
I:
--saw "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," which I loved, and "Taking Lives," which I liked a lot.
--finally managed to download copies of "Starsky and Hutch" and Ben Affleck's SNL, both of which crack me up consistently.
--finally rationalized Sam's behavior from "Grace" to "Lost City," in a way that satisfies me. This rationalization is held together with chewing gum and a couple of rather ridiculous toothpicks, but it makes me feel much better about writing her. Canon characterization be damned.
--finally finished the scene that's been absolutely killing me in the current story. The next scene doesn't promise to go too much faster, but hey! at least it's a different place to get stuck.
--finally have cosmic permission to watch the rest of the NCAA Tournament, since every single team I cared even remotely about has already been eliminated and thus are beyond even my ability to jinx them.
--finally managed to get my current jeans off without unbuttoning them, which is the first real visible sign I've noticed of the 21 pounds I've lost since the beginning of the year. Wheee!
--got about 3/4 of the way through making nominations for the SG-1 awards, then lost them all when my computer froze. And I had almost decided on a drabble to nominate, too! Drat! Perhaps I will take this as a sign.
--did not accomplish several other tasks on my to-do list due to a general sense of ennui, but feel remarkably little guilt about it.
Now, I must finish with comments, look a bit at my TPM story, and oh, perhaps do a couple things I actually get paid for. It is Monday, after all.
