A good weekend, except for the part where it ended and was Monday again.

I:

--saw "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," which I loved, and "Taking Lives," which I liked a lot.

--finally managed to download copies of "Starsky and Hutch" and Ben Affleck's SNL, both of which crack me up consistently.

--finally rationalized Sam's behavior from "Grace" to "Lost City," in a way that satisfies me. This rationalization is held together with chewing gum and a couple of rather ridiculous toothpicks, but it makes me feel much better about writing her. Canon characterization be damned.

--finally finished the scene that's been absolutely killing me in the current story. The next scene doesn't promise to go too much faster, but hey! at least it's a different place to get stuck.

--finally have cosmic permission to watch the rest of the NCAA Tournament, since every single team I cared even remotely about has already been eliminated and thus are beyond even my ability to jinx them.

--finally managed to get my current jeans off without unbuttoning them, which is the first real visible sign I've noticed of the 21 pounds I've lost since the beginning of the year. Wheee!

--got about 3/4 of the way through making nominations for the SG-1 awards, then lost them all when my computer froze. And I had almost decided on a drabble to nominate, too! Drat! Perhaps I will take this as a sign.

--did not accomplish several other tasks on my to-do list due to a general sense of ennui, but feel remarkably little guilt about it.

Now, I must finish with comments, look a bit at my TPM story, and oh, perhaps do a couple things I actually get paid for. It is Monday, after all.

And have you noticed it does that every. single. week?? How dumb is that?

It's just a vicious circle...

Does this mean I shouldn't finish my rationalization letter? *looks woefully at the letter*

got about 3/4 of the way through making nominations for the SG-1 awards, then lost them all when my computer froze. And I had almost decided on a drabble to nominate, too!

Ha! That's why I did mine from work, 'cause my sweet little overburdened computer at home really hates me. *g*

Oh, hang on a minute there! You're not getting off the hook that easily! *pets forthcoming letter*

Trust me, I still need the expert input, especially for my specific problem. This rationalization was more in the "explaining why Sam's behavior between Grace and LCII isn't really shippy, but in fact a sure sign that she is in ship recovery" vein. Solely for my own mental health. *g*

And I wanted to do my nominations from home, because I'm such a good and conscientious employee, and I would hate to spend work time and resources in the vast task of looking up all the stories I want to nominate. (okay, so I had some free time and was avoiding writing.) But, given the hatred my own computer also seems to bear me, I think my company is going to donate some computing resources this afternoon to the cause of honoring quality Stargate fiction. *g*

Oooh! Rationalization! Don't forget to share. At this point I'm going with severe head injury but I'm open to anything more thoughtful and/or reasonable to explain wtf is going on with Sam.

I *desperately* want to see "Eternal Sunshine." Everything I've read about it sounds just amazing.
