lanning made me this pretty icon after I spent most of the morning whining about this long, nasty winter, and how I just can't take one more day of the cold and the snow, and the ice, and the sn* we had last night (sn* which is neither rain nor sleet but isn't really snow, either, but which made the sidewalks skatable this morning). Winter doesn't usually get to me, but this year it really is, if only for the relentless dark dreary wetness of it.

Okay, I know we haven't really got it that bad in DC. Those of you who live in northern climes, I stand in awe of your fortitude. But I'm a desert child -- born in New Mexico, grew up in Arizona -- and at this point, I have really had it with this stupid winter idea.

Sigh. Okay, everyone gets one weather rant per season, and that was mine. Back to work I go.
