You built incredible tension in this chapter. Between Arthur being surrounded by enemies, Merlin naming himself Emrys, and the unexpected Morgause, there's danger at every turn. It was just a matter of time before Merlin got outed as a sorcerer, but it's no wonder Arthur feels so hurt and betrayed. Merlin's been harboring so many secrets, Arthur must feel he doesn't trust him at all.
The tournament is vividly drawn and very entertaining. Merlin turning the magic back on his opponents was delightful, though that dragon performance was a bitter pill for Arthur to swallow. It's riveting.
