Why on earth am I awake at 3 a.m.? Oh, right, because two people I don't know are getting married somewhere across the Atlantic.

I blame Merlin completely. I'm hoping to write a ficlet or two in honor of the day, but right now the challenge is just keeping myself upright.

I need snacks.

I sort of feel like I should watch it as one of those ~events of your generation~ things. I'm the same age as Harry and so sort of grew up with these boys...also I just love all of the flags and guards and the whole traditional Britishness of the whole thing :D

Hope you find some good inspiration for your fics...and plenty of snacks to keep you awake ;)

I was just saying to my best friend (currently snoozing on my couch) that I was envious of everyone on your side of the world who can watch this at a sane hour!

It is going to be one of the major events of this generation - I distinctly remember watching Sarah and Andrew's wedding with my mom when I was a kid. The grand pageantry is so exciting to watch, and something we just don't get in America very often.

I decided on just to wake up for the actual wedding. Sometime in the night sleep won and I even turned off my alarm clock before it rang, but my allergies had other ideas so I was awake in time for the wedding regardless of an alarm clock on or not.

Oh man, I hear you on the allergies. Yesterday I had the worst allergy attack I've had in years -- but on the bright side, I was on so many drugs that I was wired enough to stay awake!

The pollen is killer today!! Unfortunately the only medicine I have is Benadryl and I do not want to fall asleep during my job. I may have to give in though!

I did! Well, I drowsed a bit while they were off doing the paperwork, but I blame that on the hymns, which were quite soporific.

And then I had to leave for work. Be impressed if I make it and stay awake for all of that. *g*
