Hunger Games!!

The long trailer for the Hunger Games movie debuted on Good Morning America this morning, and OMG, I still have chills all over my body.

Still bummed it's not eligible for yuletide this year, but it looks like the movie is going to give me the story I was going to ask for anyway.

Off topic: If someone (me, for instance) tells you their grand plan for skipping over the sex scene in their story and going back to fill it in later because that's going to be so much more efficient, feel free to mock.

Looks good. Shiver-inducing. I wonder how they're going to show them filming everything that goes on in the arena... maybe that'll just be taken for granted? Never got an understanding of that in the book.

It's been about a year since I read the books, so I can't quote anything, but my impression was that the cameras were invisible from inside the arena. Katniss was always aware of being filmed, but if I'm remembering correctly, she was often guessing as to where she thought the cameras would be, based on her knowledge from watching previous Games.

So they could get away with not showing the cameras, but I kind of hope they'll give us some glimpses of the internal operations of the Games. That would be so interesting. I'm also dying to see how the broadcasts really looked to the people back in the Districts.

She does look like she's going to be an amazing Katniss. And whoever made the trailer did a great job because I had chills for several minutes after I finished watching it, which I don't think I've ever done before!
