Awwwww! Have you seen some of the recent homecoming pics (real ones) of gay soldiers kissing their significant others upon return? Every single time I see a new one, I tear up. :)

Last night I listened to the news report about this kid who wanted to be removed from his parents' guardianship because they locked him up in a clinic, trying to cure the gay out of him. Then there was an 'expert' opinion from a doctor, who said that 'homosexuality is a whim' and cannot therefore be considered a disease. I listened to a few more 'experts'...

My point is, thanks for sharing, I needed this. ♥

I have! It's utterly wonderful. As part of work a couple years ago, I heard so many stories from gay service members about how their partners couldn't always even find out when they were coming back, let alone go on base to greet them. I'm so happy to see that finally changing, and I hope it helps to change people's perceptions as well.

It really is astounding how virulently people cling to their bigotry, isn't it? Not to mention disgusting and rage-inducing, especially when they're doing this to kids.

It's nice to see something more civilized, for a change.

Question! : ) I was just rereading your fic 'Ten Bowls of Wine' about Bacchus and Herakles. It's amazing, one of my favorites. I was looking through your other fic when I saw this entry at dreamwidth: http://corilannam.dreamwidth.org/270079.html

If you are still doing a 'fic dvd commentary track' I would LOVE to read the one for 'Ten Bowls of Wine'! I'm commenting here and at the entry on DW just in case you moved over there. I could go on and on with how awesome Ten Bowls is. It has this tone that encapsulates ancient Greek feelings and spaces, and everything in it is perfect-- the characters, descriptions, format, framing, everything. I'm a big fan! I hope you have a great summer : )
