Catching up with online life

Well, sort of, anyway. I've been completely out of touch with all things internet the last couple of weeks, except for catching a few flist entires here and there. Oh, and reading that one story where aliens force Jack and Daniel to have sex (because I do have my priorities). I'm not sure why, I just haven't felt like doing much on the computer, a state of mind which is usually completely alien to me. I haven't even posted about Stargate for the last couple of episodes, even though I really wanted to comment on the potentially interesting Jack characterization they had going on in Sacrifices. The fingers just aren't moving on the keyboard.

I have, of course, been watching a lot of TV. My guilty slashy pleasure of the season is Hawaii, thanks to the delectable Ivan Sergei -- surely there must be Danny/Chris stories out there somewhere already? It's been too long since I've had a pure buddy-cop show to watch, and this one comes complete with two sets of buddy cops! It's an embarrassment of riches. Or maybe just an embarrassment. We'll see how the season goes.

I haven't yet started the mainlining of Farscape, since most nights by the time I get home I've just been toppling over sideways and staring at Clean Sweep until my eyes cross. I'm hoping to make at least a small start this weekend, since I can hear the clock ticking. Also on the docket for this weekend: vidding! And hopefully clearing the rest of my TiVo, which means catching up with the rest of the shows I'm watching on a trial basis now. Possibly, I might even clean out my e-mail inbox, but I wouldn't count on it.

Last random note for the afternoon: yay, Amazing Race! The Emmys know how much you rock, and slowly everyone else is finding out, too. Could not have been happier with the final results ofTAR5.

Okay, one more random note: new Joan of Arcadia tonight! Wheee! No new Stargate, which is sad, but I suppose I can use the break before the rest of the season hits anyway. Sigh.

i got sucked into watching this season's amazing race courtesy of a friend of mine who insisted. amazing indeed. i was very happy with who won. lovely footage around the pyramids and other places. *sigh*

as for farscape, i've been immersing myself in all things farscape. marathons at my house on the weekends with a friend who needs a recap. doing this has reminded me of just how wonderful it all is. i can't wait for the mini-series. *double sigh*

TAR is a fabulous show. Armchair travel porn with some drama thrown in. And this was the best season since the first one, IMO, so you picked a good time to start watching!

When the angst becomes much too much, we switch to teh light crack, The Persuaders. Loooonnnnnng on slash, short on angst (relatively speaking).
