Reasons Why I'm Happy Today (Friday Edition):

1) It's Friday.
2) chelseafrew found me a Darth Tater! It is the coolest toy *ever*.
3) I have managed to stay OP all week, for the first time in months
4) Unrelated to the above, I got two new dark chocolate varieties of favorite candies. I keep saying, "Hey, why aren't there dark chocolate M&Ms?" and "Hey, why aren't there dark chocolate Twix bars?" And now there *are*.
5) It's Friday!
6) Tomorrow, chelseafrew, ndannais and I are going up to Hershey to see the sign language version of Big River (again). We kind of got stuck with the tickets after finding out about cast changes and its extended run here in DC, but that's okay. We can see it here, too.
7) Netflix just sent me an e-mail that I should be getting 2 Fast 2 Furious tomorrow, which means it will probably be here today. I am a little 2 Happy about that.
8) Friday!
9) I got to see another ep of Now and Again last night, and I now realize why there was no fandom. Everybody's head exploded. His relationship with his wife is so wonderful, and then he has to go be insanely slashy with Theo. Slash-ship-slash-ship -- ack! And just in general, love that show. I'm happy to slowly savor each episode as slowly as possible to make it last.
10) Look! It's Friday!

Yes, dear, our heads did explode. I finally had to think of it as a show where Michael was in love with his wife, but he couldn't have her and Theo wasn't bad to look at and Theo loved the hell out of him but again, in love with the wife, so nothing would ever happen, but Theo could still want it and Michael could yearn a lot for both of them and--

And I kind of like the idea of Michael being so in love with his wife, yet having a guilty Stockholm Syndrome-y passion with Theo, too. But regardless, fic or not, you just can't beat Theo coming in and singing cheesey love songs to Michael to wake him up. *g*

Such pretty, twisted slash! Such intense, devoted het! And I've barely started watching!

#2--I am sooooo jealous! That thing cracked me up. (As did the Darth Vader lawn sprinkler, but living in an apartment, I think I'd get more use out of the Darth Tater.)

#9--I loved that show so much. Yeah, I never went to the slash place much with it, because the cornerstone of the story was so much about how incredibly in love with his wife and daughter he was, but it would have been easy to do slash there, too. And Theo's voice makes my knees go to jelly. *g*

It was such a beatifully, heartbreakingly good show. Where are you to in the series?

Oh, man, if you're going in order and you're only third or fourth in, you haven't even gotten to the amazingly good (and slashy) stuff yet. "Deep in My Heart is a Song," for instance is just... *aches* And then there's "There Are No Words." And... Hm, I wonder where I put my tapes.

We just watched "One For the Money," which is episode 4. :-) Just a few more and we'll get to "A Girl's Life" and "I've Grown Accustomed to His Face" and you'll start writing letters of protest to CBS. *G*

Dark chocolate M&Ms moved to my #2 all-time favorite candy during Connexions weekend. (Number one will always be dark chocolate covered pretzels. ::weak in the knees thinking about it:: But, because of the relation to SW (and my unrelenting distrust and hatred of all most things Lucas), I am in a tizzy of worry that they will Go Away. I am stockpiling. Freezers are your friend.

So this "Friday"..........it's a good thing?

Oooh, *freezers*. I didn't even think of that. I've been stockpiling, too, against the fear of them Going Away (because everything I like does, and as you say, it's Lucas), but now I can stockpile *more*.

And I've heard rumors that Fridays can be pretty nifty. Try it out, see what you think!

I *soooooooooooo* didn't need to know that there is now a dark chocolate Twix. :/ I already have the dark M&Ms calling me from the kitchen.

And on another candy related note, I found the chocolate lovers and peanut butter lovers Reese's Cups at Giant today. I ate a pb lover's - not as good as the miniature version, surprisingly. The pb was a little too sweet IMHO. Of course, I was eating it after pulling out RIGHT in front of someone and nearly getting hit, so my taste buds might have still been a bit in shock. (I still don't know where the hell that van came from)

Have fun in Hershey! Try not to buy too much chocolate while there. :)

We didn't find any chocolate at all in Hershey, which is kind of sad, but probably for the best. *g*

The dark chocolate M&Ms are sooooo good. Mmmmm.

And yeah, I think the new Reeses cups are better in bite-sized doses. I also tried the new fudge flavor cups, and those weren't very good at all.

dark, bittersweet chocolate is one of the five major food groups. *g*

i loved that show "now and again". and the pretty was just so *very* pretty. i so wished they had at least a finale or another season or 5 to tell us more of the story. and yeah, very slashy and shippy indeed.
