My mp3 player has bitten the dust, after 8 months of mostly faithful service. Bus rides have become extremely twitchy and boring affairs. I need to replace it with something that might last a bit longer than my hapless Rio.
Were I to say that I was considering biting the bullet and shelling out for a real iPod, would anyone have any words of warning for me?

Date: 2005-12-12 05:51 pm (UTC)I'm seriously thinking about getting one to use for offloading photo files from my memory cards on long picture-taking trips (much easier to carry on a plane than a laptop), but before I buy, I'm going to go up to the Apple Store with one of said cards and make them upload the files from the card onto the iPod, and then transfer same from the iPod onto the Mac, while I stand there watching. If it's to my satisfaction, then they'll have me where they want me. *g*
