Monday, ughy Monday

corilannamSo it was a nice long weekend, the closest thing to real vacation time I've had in many moons. Thanksgiving with friends on Thursday, which was fun as usual, especially since I hadn't really seen some of them in more than a passing way in quite a while. Spent the rest of the weekend just being mellow, seeing the uber-slashy Spy Games and also indulging my dirty old woman lust for a certain (only recently non-jailbait) adorable Scottish Quidditch Captain. Still no E2 trailer, though. Lucas hates me. Yes, me, personally. He knows what I've been writing.
Today, however, I'm left contemplating my unstable job situation, in which I feel like a scuffed and obscure baseball card waiting to be traded. I'd like my attitude to be better, but not scowling at the boss is probably about as good as it's going to get today. I'm also contemplating Munchausen by Internet syndrome again -- I'm thinking it's better in the long run just to cut off the person doing it, but I want to be sure that's not my own impatience and hard-learned suspicion talking first. Outside evidence suggests I'm right, though. Which is a pity. I hate when someone I liked turns out to be an irreparably screwed-up emotional leech, and I hate having to step back and not try to fulfill their needs. But feeding the illness doesn't help, either, especially when there's a long history of leechiness there. And I resent being toyed with.
Besides, I have about a gazillion things to write. And way too many lists to keep up on. Oh, and Real Life, too. I have no time for loonies. Not even the amusing kind that think I'm a sock puppet for my roommate. (Oy.)
