If I had even the first clue how to set up the technical end of things, I'd create a site with a wide range of greeting cards specifically for fannish occasions. This week alone, with the beginning of the new TV season, there've been a number of times I've felt like some prepackaged expression of sentiment was in order for my friends who are in different fandoms than me. The joys, the sorrows... Hallmark is missing out on a huge marketing opportunity:

* "I'm so sorry for your loss. Good luck with the petition/mail campaign/newspaper ads/attack on SciFi Network headquarters. Let me know if I can write a letter."

* "Congratulations on your new fandom! May this one turn out better than the last one!"

* "Good luck with your season premiere tonight! I hope it's a rebuilding season!"

* "Hey, I hear it was a great episode last night! Have fun on the boards!"

* "I'm praying for you." (this one for all my Smallville friends)

All I need is some bandwidth and a dream...

I was thinking of you when I typed that one. *g*

Tonight's going to be two hours of nailbiting, that's for sure....

I want this one. Maybe the graphic could be a big house falling on . . . no, that's been done.

Darn.

Great Idea!

You could also add:

"So sorry your favorite character has been morphed into a destroying demon of worlds! Here's hoping she gets back to normal soon!"

or

"Sorry about your favorite character being married off this season. And to a GIRL. Better luck next season!"

This is hilarious. I'm not a fannish type, but I'd probably buy them to send to my fan-friends. If only for the absurdity. ;-)

Yeah, but then people would be constantly sending them to *me*, too. Automatic restocking! *g*

How about one for writers? 'Sorry to hear you've been uninspired,' with a picture of Qui-Gon holding a limp spaghetti noodle as Obi-Wan looks on forlornly.

I want 'em all!

ROTFL! I like the image. *g*

And yeah, I have a whole line of fan fiction cards in mind.

I just need to learn how to set up an e-cards site now. These are too good to waste. *g*
