my new cottage industry
Sep. 25th, 2002 11:10 amIf I had even the first clue how to set up the technical end of things, I'd create a site with a wide range of greeting cards specifically for fannish occasions. This week alone, with the beginning of the new TV season, there've been a number of times I've felt like some prepackaged expression of sentiment was in order for my friends who are in different fandoms than me. The joys, the sorrows... Hallmark is missing out on a huge marketing opportunity:
* "I'm so sorry for your loss. Good luck with the petition/mail campaign/newspaper ads/attack on SciFi Network headquarters. Let me know if I can write a letter."
* "Congratulations on your new fandom! May this one turn out better than the last one!"
* "Good luck with your season premiere tonight! I hope it's a rebuilding season!"
* "Hey, I hear it was a great episode last night! Have fun on the boards!"
* "I'm praying for you." (this one for all my Smallville friends)
All I need is some bandwidth and a dream...
