Today I have:

-- registered for this year's VividCon.  I even shelled out to pay by PayPal so that I don't forget to mail the check like I kept doing last year.  Now all I need is a hotel room and a plane flight and, oh, possibly a second job at this rate.

-- finished my TPM zine story.  Again.  Maybe.  Okay, wait, I just remembered something else.  Never mind.  Oh, and I still need a title.  Hate titles.

-- gotten halfway through the first book of the Coldfire trilogy.  Loving it so far. Despite C.S. Friedman's unnatural love of sentence fragments.  Am antsy because three of my very favorite fan authors have written Coldfire stories that I can't read yet.  Only about 1400 pages left to go....

-- walked to the mall transit center for exercise despite having severely underestimated the blustery wetness factor.  Can I get extra activity points for wind-resistance?

-- had french toast-flavored oatmeal, which is the best thing ever, and I don't even like french toast.

But I have not yet squeed over the fact that the new series of Battlestar Galactica debuts here tonight!  Wheeeee!  I've been downloading the episodes as they aired in the UK, but now finally everyone will get to see it, and we can all talk about it.  We're going to talk about it, right?

Umm, our sofa bed will still be available at no charge at that point. Heck, we might even have a guest bedroom by August! Otherwise, if you want to stay at the hotel to avoid the drive, we'd probably be game for a roomshare to save costs.

BTW, did we mention that we're staying in Chicago? I accepted the faculty position here!
