More on Duran Duran

Let me say again: that was fuckin' awesome. I'd never been to a concert that big before; you were right,
elynross -- my ears are still a little numb. *g*
chelseafrew,
ndannais,
meeby and I had fabulous seats with a perfect view of the stage. Overall, could not have been cooler.
A few more little things before I forget:
* The playlist is here for the curious.
* "Come Undone" and "Save A Prayer" are quasi-religious experiences live.
* The entire audience was largely women in their 30s, which is totally unsurprising and yet very cute and funny in person when you see the little fangirl herds running across the parking lot. Run, sister fangirls, run and be free! Oh, except for this guy in his sixties, last of his gray hair almost gone, who was standing right under where we were and who was rocking out. Seriously, his moves were more elaborate than Simon's, and nobody was having a better time. Me (to
chelseafrew at some point): Look, we've found the Six Flags guy!
* I now know what it takes to get
chelseafrew to dance. And she yelped very loudly when "Notorious" started. Enjoy the mental image, those who can. I won't even try to describe
ndannais's face during "Come Undone"; even my LJ isn't that pornographic.
* Just about every song on the setlist can be vidded to Farscape. Seriously. Try it in your head, it's fun.
* Simon LeBon was totally molesting John Taylor at several points during the concert. Fortunately, John did not seem to mind in the least. Nor did I, in fact.
* I got the coolest t-shirt, which Simon later wore during the encore. Well, not my t-shirt specifically, of course. I don't know how he could have gotten it out from under my seat without me noticing and then returned it before we left, but in any case. It's the first concert shirt I've ever bought, and it's really cool.
Okay, now it's off to Hershey to see Big River again. It's a really good thing the show is in ASL, 'cause my ears are still ringing.
