We watched about half of Goldeneye on Telemundo this evening, and so when I got home I had the yen to put in my new DVD and watch. After enjoying the lovely slashy Sean-ness of the opening, we get to the theme song, which is my favorite James Bond theme by far. I've loved this song for years, have the mp3 on my computer, play it all the time. Tina Turner, sexy music, what's not to love?
And in all that time, I never realized that it's really the twisted, obsessive love song of 006 to 007. I mean, it really is. I even looked up the lyrics to be absolutely sure it wasn't just me.
( Read for yourself )
Bono and The Edge wrote the lyrics. Kudos, boys.
And dammit, *why* is there so little 006/007 slash out there? It's just not right.
