I'm not sure why I'm in such an incredibly good mood today, considering that I've been a surly bitch pretty much all week. Maybe it's the fact that it's *finally* Friday. Maybe it's the fact that today is one of the most gorgeous days we've had in a long time, despite being stuck in the office all day. Maybe it's that I get sushi and two-two-two! kinds of Stargate tonight, which may be my definition of bliss. Maybe it's that exactly a week from right now, I'll be in Chicago for VividCon, meeting so many *fabulous* people.
This is all despite the fact that I can barely move the entire left side of my body. Wednesday, in a demonstration of my usual gazelle-like grace, I tripped over a step at the gym and slammed into the ridiculously hard wall. I didn't feel a thing at the time, but then I woke up yesterday wondering how a truck had managed to run over the left half of me without waking me up or leaving tire tracks on my comforter. Then I went back to the gym last night, totally snubbed that wall, and then sat in a movie theater for a couple of hours, which is, of course, a known cure for any kind of body pain.
The movie we saw was "A Home at the End of the World," which was absolutely lovely. It stars Colin Farrell, Robin Wright Penn, and Dallas Roberts as three people all deeply in love with each other and trying to make a family together. I recommend it as a movie as well as for the boy-kissing.
And when I got home, my TiVo presented me with a documentary on Aztec human sacrifices, which was the perfect thing to watch before bed. No, really.
