My Merlin Wish List - Series 3

corilannamSince I have Merlin on the brain today, I wanted to round up some thoughts I've been having about what I'd really like to see in the third series. Given that it starts tomorrow, this seems like a good time to do it!
Note:
In Merlin S3, I would like to see...
...MERLIN + ARTHUR = BAD ASS BROMANCE. 'Nuff said.
...okay, not enough said. What I really want is to see is Arthur respecting Merlin, whether or not he knows about the magic. All the mutually insulting banter can stay, though.
...Gwen actually getting something to do that does not involve Arthur's attraction to her. Come on, the girl has shown she can fight and stand up to anyone. Surely there must be something cool they can give her to do. For example, I'd love to see her start up her father's forge again and make armor and weapons or something. I want to like Gwen and root for her future partnership with Arthur, but you gotta give me something to work with.
...Morgana doing something because she wants to do it, not because someone else told her to.
...more awesome father/son angst between Uther and Arthur. Would especially love to see more of Arthur standing up to Uther's bad ideas.
...Merlin getting to be happy for AT LEAST 5 minutes at a stretch.
...at least one other person finding out about Merlin's magic. I honestly don't care who it is. Just SOMEONE. PLEASE.
...more knights with names. Poor Leon can only take so much of the fic burden, you know.
So Merlin fans, what's your S3 wish list look like?

Gwen, the nuTrek Uhura of Merlinverse.
Yeah, in a lot of ways, but I think Uhura has a lot going for her that Gwen doesn't. Uhura has education, skills, and rank of her own that she earned, plus, you know, a personality. Even though she didn't get much of the actiony stuff in the movie, she's still very strong, ballsy, forward, and gentle on her own terms. Whereas Gwen has yet to be much more than a servant who has some influence over a prince because he wants to bang her. I think the Merlin writers were trying to set up a situation where (like Spock) he wants to bang her because she's awesome, but we haven't really gotten to see much of the awesome yet. She had all of one really good scene that I liked last series.

can I just add "someone finds out and doesn't die or run away"? Because so far the people who manage to find out don't stick around, with the exception of Gaius of course. I'd really love to see Merlin with a friend his own age who knows his secret. He needs someone to confide in!
