Heh, yeah I was worried that was going to happen to me, but I tried to be ruthless when I was writing and I ended up only like 16 words over. Which was kind of exciting. Of course, the whole thing probably sucks, but... oh well this is how I learn to write better porn! Trial and error. XD

I've had to write short things for a few Sherlock fandom challenge/team comms I belong to, so I have been practicing! Although I do tend towards brevity. But not *porny* brevity. That's harder! I know, I know, that's what he said...

I actually used to write 100 word drabbles on a regular basis in other fandoms. It was fun and easy! What happened?

Yeah, I was thinking about drabbles earlier, and I think that's a different kind of writing, sort of? Like 100 words is just really not a lot, but 750 is... almost enough for a ficlet? Uh, I am not making sense. I just mean that 750 is long enough to have some sort of plot and even multiple scenes if you want to, but not long enough that you can write as much as you are used to. But drabbles it's like you would never write 500 words and pare it down. At least I don't think? So you start off not even writing more than a few sentences.

Eh, I have no idea. I have only ever written one drabble that I thought was any good! :/

Yeah, drabbling really is a distinct skill all on its own. I used to write them for Everwood and Stargate, and it was fun to try to catch just a single moment and make it have a memorable impact.
