Whoa. I just fell in love with Jaime Lannister. How the hell did that happen?

Wait until you meet his brother Tyrion.

Oh, I've been crazy about Tyrion since word one. Jaime was a bit of a harder sell, but three books later, I think I finally get it!

Ah! OK, I'm still in book 1. I eagerly await my conversion to Jaime love.

Hahaha, yay! Which book are you reading?

The third one. I just got to the part where he jumps into the [redacted] pit to help [redacted].

Ooh, such a great part! Jaime/[redacted] is my #1 ship. The snark! The banter! It's always the way to my heart, lol.

I know, I love them! The relationship building there is just excellent.

I'm a Tyrion girl myself. :)

Oh, I've adored Tyrion from the get-go! He's my favorite character in the books, bar none. I have not, however, been nearly as fond of his siblings up to this point in book 3.

I'm not that far, so maybe I will learn to love him too.

Perhaps! I was pretty doubtful about all the Jaime love I was seeing on my flist from those who had read all the books, but I am beginning to understand. Or maybe it's just that he's really not any more morally dubious than anyone else at this point. *G*

Tyrion is still the most awesome, though!

Ha, yes. He's one of the few characters in the books who actually seems to be on something vaguely resembling an upward trajectory, you know?

From: [identity profile] corilannam.livejournal.com
I do hope it's upward! He deserves it (though his trajectory seems a bit wobbly in the part I'm on).

I have yet to fall in love with Jaime, but I think he's one of the least evil of the evil characters, so that's a start :D

You know, in these books, sometimes "least evil" is pretty high praise. *g*

You're reading the third book, aren't you?? That's when my Jaime love exploded. I started paging ahead to see when the next 'Jaime' chapter would pop up. :D

You'll love him even more by the end of the book and you'll stumble out of it wondering WTH HAPPENED. LOL.

I am reading the third book! It's amazing what a difference it makes to be in his POV. I wish I had some Cersei POV chapters, too, to see if it would work similar miracles.

I really can't wait to see where his story goes next. If my copy of the book weren't electronic, I would probably have already looked ahead. *g*

It took me until my reread of book 3 to fully love him but I got there in the end. :D

And I won't say anything else because I don't want to spoil anything!

Hee! I can't wait to find out where his story is going! I find all the Lannisters very interesting, if not always likable.

I haven't read the books YET but I've half-assed watched the shows and asked the bf to remind me which character this is.

His response: "sisterfucker". *sigh* my bf is an idiot.

Heh, I'm well into A Feast for Crows now, and nope, not feeling it. Not feeling it for any Lannister, really. I can see what you mean, and I can see why people like Tyrion, but... no.

Me, I'm in love with Jon, Arya and Dany. *G*

Yeah, I think the Lannisters are a very acquired taste, but I occasionally have a soft spot for the bad guys when they do something awesome to show their human side.

I love Arya so much! She is beyond awesome, and I love seeing her kick ass and be tough, while at the same time I just want to see her reunited with someone (anyone!) from her family and get to be safe for a while. I suspect I'll be waiting a long time. *g*

Dany is also so awesome -- I love her, too, though in a more distant way than Arya. There's something not quite human about her, but she gives me chills in a good way. The whole thing with the Unsullied made me flail. She's one of the two posters I bought from the HBO store.

Jon Snow is the utterly perfect woobie. *g*

Jon Snow is the utterly perfect woobie.

At first, yes. But I get that feeling that his role will change a bit in a Dance with Dragons ;)

(and I'm a sucker for woobies. This explains why I love Jon Snow *G*)
