Hello, Pinboard: The Fans Are All Right.

I was going to hold off on moving all my bookmarks until I saw whether Delicious was going to get itself together, but screw that. I'm moving to Pinboard.

ETA: When I first posted this, I had forgotten that Pinboard charges a one-time set-up fee, which is just under $10. Obviously not everybody can justify that in their budgets these days. However, fandom being fandom, there's already a lively swapmeet going over on the fannish Pinboard comm where many people are offering to gift Pinboard accounts to fellow fans, either gratis or in exchange for small fannish services.

That sounds just like my train of thought! I finally hit my personal tipping point this morning--so I signed up on Pinboard (username Theatro), and the importation was buttery smooth. I'm so glad to be able to bookmark things again, in ways I like and that are useful to me (not to mention subscribing to others and seeing their links in handy network fashion). I didn't quite realize how much I counted on the useful features of the late-lamented-Delicious until I couldn't have them anymore! *twitch*

My links are importing as we speak (my username is just corilannam)! I'm pretty excited -- and not the least because I have a gazillion tabs languishing open ever since my delicious extension broke last week. *twitches with you*
