It was rather strange to wake up this morning and not have to be writing something for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide, but it's going to be great to finally get some serious reading time in.  I'm still dumbfounded by the sheer number of really cool stories that we got all in one day (or, er, mostly in one day).

So now that we've had the grand reveal, I can claim responsibility for my stuff.  I had four pieces this year:

The main story, written for [livejournal.com profile] audrarose --
A Hawaiian Family Thing
Hawaii, Danny Edwards/Chris Gains, R
In Hawaii, all the ohana can be a bit much, especially at Christmas. Just ask Danny Edwards.

Then I had my official pinch hit, for [livejournal.com profile] unovis_lj --
Ten Bowls of Wine
Classical Mythology, Dionysos/Herakles, R
Herakles and Dionysos engage in a drinking contest. One of them is bound to regret it.

And then I had two very last minute flash fiction pinch hits, written and posted in great haste yesterday before the reveal.

Some Zeus-porn, for [livejournal.com profile] thamiris --
Cupbearer
Classical Mythology, Zeus/Ganymede, NC-17
Zeus stole the youth Ganymede to be his cupbearer. Now he wants to taste more than wine.

And a very small snippet for [livejournal.com profile] rosemending --
Aftermath
Fire from Heaven, Alexander/Hephaistion, PG
The Sacred Band has been destroyed, but there are still lovers in the world.

Ah, if my favorite high school English teacher could see me now.... Thanks go to [livejournal.com profile] chelseafrew and [livejournal.com profile] elynross for their awesome beta help (except on the last minute pinch hits, which were not betaed at all, and as such all the rough bits are completely my own fault.)

I also want to take one last opportunity to pimp the gorgeous Fire from Heaven story written for me by [livejournal.com profile] louiselux, because I love it so much and want you all to love it, too.
Early Light, Alexander/Hephaistion

Aftermath

Made my heart sing. Really. Sigh.

Awww, thanks. Those two do tend to have that effect on the heartstrings, don't they? :-)

"Aftermath" is just gorgeous...It was sad, yet bittersweet...and that moment of stolen intimacy between them, touched by grief and yes, a hint of foreshadowing, really torn my heart apart...

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. They are such a bittersweet couple, and I do love that about them. :-)
