I was having a pretty crappy morning until I got to work, checked my e-mail, and saw the Special Bean Alert that SEAN BEAN IS DOING A MOVIE WITH EWAN MCGREGOR OMG!!!!

*ahem*

Please ignore the fragments of my exploded head and the scattered shreds of my dignity as you exit the room.  Thank you.

(and this was before I saw the new SG-1 Season 9 casting news)

In the meantime, my yuletide story continues to go swimmingly.  Okay, swimmingly is probably a big of an overstatement, but it is going, and at this date that's all I can ask for. My goal is to get it done in the next day or two so that I can get some beta eyes on it.  I'm at that point where I'm absolutely convinced that my fundamental concept is flawed beyond redemption, the execution is pedestrian, and my poor recipient is going to be weeping into her Cheerios on Christmas morning from overwhelming disappointment.

In any case, once I'm done, I can let myself watch the rest of the ROTK:EE, and really, it's all about that anyway, right?

Oh dear lord in heaven.
I don't think I can stand all the squee today.....

I know! I think my squee-meter just broke.

we're gonna have to come up with a newer, larger, more excited term.
But 'head explodes' is all that comes to mind...

Dude, I've seen the crap '70s flick that Bean/McGregor movie is based on! I am torn between exploding with the squee and exploding with the, "What the hell?!" Though the synopsis makes it sound like they've already fixed a few of the issues the original had.

I have watched way worse movies for both Sean and Ewan. I suspect that no matter how bad this one is, I won't care all that much. *g* The synopsis doesn't make it look all that bad, though, so hopefully they have fixed it up a bit from the original.

Hmm, when you put it that way, I have to say I have a hard time believing it could be as bad as Night Watch. It will at least have both Ewan and Sean in the scenery department.

*BOOM*

that was my head. Exploding. Hummina.

*pauses for further incoherence*

As far as I can tell, this is a perfectly normal stage. All the people I know doing Yuletide have gone through it. *g*

True enough. I'm just afraid that I'm going to be that one person who's actually right. *g*

I really, truly doubt that. If you need an outside eye, though, I am more than willing to read and opine. I've been doing that for a few people, and needed to have it done for myself. *G*

Oh my. Not just Sean and Ewan, but also filming in Los Angeles. It's a shame that after 9/11 the security on location shoot information is more closely guarded. :D

That really is a shame. Because otherwise, I'd say it was your fannish duty to go and find out. *g*
