Mmmmm.... power!

So, so, so, so very fantastically glad to be at work right now. Please note the date and timestamp on this post, because you may never see me saying that again. But I am just so happy to be where I have power, cold soda, and INTERNET ACCESS. Sadly, just about the only useful thing with power in my apartment right now is my alarm clock. Cold showers by candlelight just aren't nearly as romantic as you'd think, though it did give me yet another Hornblower plot bunny that'll never get written.

More severe thunderstorms in the DC area today. Sigh.

On a sidenote, I think that Jack probably cut out today's Non Sequitor and taped it up on Daniel's locker.

Oh, good! We had flickerings the other day, but nothing like sustained outages. I have to admit, I'd be more antsy about the air conditioning, myself. *g*

The AC, miraculously, is running just fine. If it were dead, I'd have been a whimpering heap on the floor by this morning. *g*

This wouldn't have been so bad, really, except for my computer and the fridge. On the plus side, I got a lot of sleep!
